FRED is an acronym for “Feeble Radiation-Eating Disease.” That’s what I named my tumor when I was diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer on the base of my tongue.
By the way, I’ve made my living for most of my life by talking.
The irony of being a professional speaker who got throat cancer is not lost on me.
